I'm having a problem with an ejector that seems to be mushrooming out a bit.  It is on an Essex frame with a GI parts kit.  The frame is new and the parts kit looks unused.  I'm not a 1911 expert and don't know anything about Essex but I'm betting the ejector came new on the frame.  I'm guessing that this ejector should not be disformed after 175 rounds.  Anyone heard of soft ejectors and is there anyway to heat treat them or should I replace it and is this easy???

Thanks for any help with this,  Joe

Thanks, thats what I needed to know

IIRC essex parts are fairly cheap. Order a Wilson Combat Bulletproof or equivilant piece and move on.
