No current 1911 manufacturers make a squared trigger guard like that. However, there are a few who make them witha hook, such as Olympic Arms/Safari Arms: www.olyarms.com/?page=m2_matchmaster Quality on these guns used to be lacking though. The gun in the pic is an Armand Swenson custom. For a railed gun with a squared trigger guard, you will need to get a railed receiver or gun and have the trigger guard welded and squred off. One other possibility is to contact Caspian. They make a railed receiver called the Recon Rail. They make excellent quality frames, and made the railed frames for Kimber and Wilson Combat in the beginning. Call them and see if they can make you one with a squared trigger guard. www.caspianarms.com/ |

Square triggerguards are performed by some professional gunsmiths. That one was done by Armand Swenson. Be well! [email protected] |

Damian and Hobbs are spot on... the squared trigger guard is pretty much a custom only type of thing. There are still quite a few ‘smiths who will build you a gun with a squared and checkered trigger guard but a quality ready made piece is going to be a tough find. Like Hobbs suggested a Caspian frame with integral rail or the like would be a good place to start. |
If you're looking for single stack look at an STI Duty One. It has squared trigger guard and accessory rail. If you're thinking double stack I would suggest an STI Tactical. Go to stiguns.com and look under the section called "Complete Guns" to see all of their models. |
