I've wanted one for years but for some reason have never bought one. I've been setting a few bucks aside for a few weeks with the intention of buying myself a 1911. Saturday was my birthday, so I went for it.

I have a serious hard on for a blued 1911. Add in years of leather holster wear and it's the greatest thing ever. Anyway, made it to the range. After 140 rounds, I had two FTFeed. I can't say for certain if it was me or the gun/mag. Only way to know is to shoot more and see what happens. What I found interesting was my actual shooting ability with the gun. I'm used to my Tanfolglio Stock 3 and Glock 34. Both in 9mm obviously. I'd say I'm pretty competent with both. While I have shot 1911's before, it hasn't been too much. The trigger is vastly different from what I'm used too. That said, after I calmed down and stopped flinching like crazy, I pulled this off. 8 shots at 10 yards, obviously I'm pulling a tad left, But overall I'm pretty happy with the results. If anyone is wondering, this was with 230gr Winchester Whitebox.

Hardly a big deal, a bit of loctite and it's good to go. I just wasn't expecting it to happen. Not on something that I paid $2k for. lol Now, I just need a couple more mags (help rule out my FTFeed) some more ammo and plenty more practice. Funny story from the range. The guy firing next to me, had two STI 2011's, one STI 1911 and a Wilson Combat 1911. He was also wearing a Ferrari jacket. I need to make more money
