I've built on several of those kits. They are way out of spec. There is no telling what is dimensionally out of spec, if not everything. Do you have a functional 1911 there to take apart and look at for reference?
Is that the grip safety they gave you? It is cut for a commander hammer, I think. And it looks like your frame is cut for a beaver tail grip safety. Who's frame are you using? |

(Stealth Arms 80%) I'm going to replace the Sarco internals with Wilson Combat parts, and Stealth Arms has a beaver tail grip safety made specifically for this frame. I shall start over. |
| It can be fixed. You need to take off the grip safety so you can see what's going on in there. Remove the slide and press down on the disconector from the top. It should thus disconnect the trigger from the sear. You could file on one or the other until it does. If that's your problem. Don't pull the trigger with the slide off though ( frame damage) |
