I hate .40 cal. I seriously do.
However, yesterday I looked at a brand new EMP 3-inch in .40 with the G10 grips and fell in love. I got to doing some more research, and it seems that the EMPs, specifically those in 9mm had issues. The .40 seems like they had a lot less issues. I'd go for the 9mm, but I don't want an aluminum frame, and prefer the solid feel of the steel frame on the .40 S&W. And I guess I should have at least one .40 cal gun, as all I run is 9 and 45. I guess I'm just trying to find out if the issues have been worked out of the newer EMPs. ......specifically those in. 40 cal. |

Wait for the 4" to come out. Looking at the 4 inch now. I REALLY like it. Especially the front strap golf ball texture. It'd be damn near perfect if they put night sights on it, rather than the fiber optics........or at least do a solid black rear and fiber optic front, instead of the white dot rear/fiber optic front.

| My wife bought a EMP .40 about 3 years ago. We have never had any problems with it other than not running 100% with some reloads that I had made for a different gun. With factory ammo and my newer reloads it runs 100%. She even shot a couple of USPSA matches with it just for fun. |
