What's the latest? Should I pull the trigger or should I pass?

Don't own one...

I would though. Same frame as the USMC gun now. I prefer all black.

This is my personal opinion, so it's worth what you paid for it...

But I don't see what all the hype is about.  I spent a long day on the range with some MARSOC guys and shot nearly every one of these that was on their team.

I'd take my SA Operator over their issued Colts every time.

YMMV

Can you give us some more details as to why?  Do you have the TRP Operator with the bull barrel?

Buy one. You won't regret it.

I have an original (2011) build Rail Gun and three with the new frame . . . both types are excellent but I would go with the new one- the dual recoil springs and extra weight make it a very soft shooter.

SA Loaded Operator if you need a 1911 with a rail

Bought one in 2010, love it, even though I had to put my spin on it. Been a great handgun.

Thanks guys. As soon as Christmas is done im gonna make my decision. Been wanting a full size .45 and I was hell bent on the Sig 227 till I saw that Colt rail gun. I'll probably end up with both but I may go ahead with the Colt

The Operator may weigh less. That's an advantage if you plan on CC.

I have an old style RG and an M45A1 from the CCS. Both excellent shooters. For the $$, the new style RG is a winner.

I'd love to spend a day shooting Springfield's and Colt's! My favorite Springfield is the Champion, but it's no where near the RG's or Operator.

If you aren't committed to the rail concept, look at the Colt Special Combat Government.
