So not being a fan of 3 dot sights, especially with the crappy lighting at the local indoor range, I ordered up a 10-8 rear. It's a .140 opening so I'm going to have to see if I like it over the std .125.
Removing the stock Baer sight wasn't hard. Just had to heat up the set screw to loosen the lock tight, then used a pusher to push it off.

The 10-8 needed quite a bit of fitting and I actually took a little too much material off, probably made 2-3 extra swipes with the $8 Harbor Freight file, it's a little snug but can be moved slightly with a forceful push of a finger. I just blue Lock tighted the set screw for now just in case I want to go with the .125" sight. If I like this one, I'll take it off and red lock tight it.

The UTC is so tight it's almost ridiculous. I actually hate shooting it because I don't want to take it apart to clean it.

Next will be to save up and buy an Ed Brown magwell for it.

Here is one quick crappy cell picture.

Also changed out the stock sight on my Loaded Black Operator for a 10-8. Unfortunately, the dovetail is overcut/sized so the sight just slides in and out with no resistance. I have red lock tighted it down until, again, I see whether I want a .125 opening or not. I will eventually send it out to have the dovetail peened. But I did shoot about 200 rds through it and the sight didn't move, the lock tight would probably hold under most conditions.

They look good.

What about peening the sight itself(cheaper part) vs. the slide? Thinking a nail set/center punch and a few wacks.

I'm just going by what Alchemy Custom told me they would do.

If they are doing it, sure. Me? I break the cheaper parts and if it doesn't work, I have learned something. Peen the slide yourself and oops it and it has to have a visit away from home. This depends on your own level of knowledge, confidence, and skill. I know I break things.

Yea, I have already screwed up a couple of sights learning how to fit and install, it will go to AC to be peened whenever I get around to it.
