That's odd.  Were you overly enthusiastic on your mag change?  How did you notice it was broken?

I didn't think I was that enthusiastic!



I was just changing mags and the mag release didn't come back out.

S&W was using poor quality pin sets for a time period, have seen some broken MSH pins as well. Excellent pistols other than the pin sets they were using.

Thanks for that info.  I know that I absolutley love the pistol, but hated the safety.  So I had the local gunsmith install a Ed Brown ambi safety.  I'm much happier with that.

Edit: Those are standard S&W E-Series grips, made of a laminated wood. They're nice and grippy, but show scratches pretty easily.

Yes they are standard e-series grips.  Once they are scratched up I will replace them with VZ's.
