First off, this is my first time in this section of the forum so sorry if this post is in the wrong place.
I recently purchased a single stack RIA 22tcm/9mm combo and am looking to get a couple extra mags. RIA wants nearly $45 per so I'm hoping to find something a little cheaper. I purchased some 9mm metalforms but the 22tcm is a little too long to load properly. Has anyone tried the Checkmate 38 super magazines with the 22tcm and 9mm? Link |

For the 22tcm,you have to go with 38 special mags. 9 mm won't work.
My single stack 1911 A1 tactical ii I bought mec-gar mags (mgcgov38b) from cheaper than dirt . all 4 work well with no problems. Now they do not have bumpers, just plain bases, but they fit the well fine with no adjustments |

I read the 22 TCM needed 38 Super 1911 mags because the 22 TCM cartridge is longer than the 9 MM and closer to the length of the 45 ACP & 38 Super cartridges.
The standard capacity for 1911 in 9 MM & 38 Super is 9 rounds. I have used Metalform mags from Brownell's in 45 ACP and they seem to be good quality. Here is a link for 38 Super 9 round mags from Brownell's. http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/1911-9rd-38-super-magazine-prod71634.aspx |
