Decided on a TRP Operator! They have adjustable sights, and I was wondering what distance do you try to zero 1911s for?

Try several different distances with your gun and ammo. You'll know the right zero when you do the testing. Each gun and ammo combo is a little different.
Some guys swap that sight for a fixed sight. I'd leave it though.

What distance are you going to commonly shoot it at? If that is under 25 yards, zero it at 20. If it is over 25 yards, zero it at that distance.

25 yards.
I have fixed sights so no adjustments for me. Just have to learn the hold over at given distances
