I picked up a new TRP Operator a few days ago.
I took it to the range and it ran perfect on my Sig 1911 (check-mate) mags, with no malfunctions in over 200rds with both Federal AE 230gr, and 50rds of Speer Gold Dot 230gr. I'm kinda partial to CMC Power mags (don't have any at the moment), but since the TRP ran great on the Sig mags, should I just go ahead and order more Sig mags, and have them both compatible with the same mags for both guns. Or I sould just order the CMC Power Mags, and hope they work out. The TRP will be my duty gun if it matters. Just wanted to see how the check-mates rank among mags compared to the CMC's |
| I have almost completely switched to the Wilson ETM mag. It is a mag designed from the beginning as an 8 round mag not a 7 round modified to fit 8. I had many feed issues in one of my Kimbers with all kinds of mags CMC, cheap mags, or Colt mags. Switched to ETMs and it functions flawlessly same as my SA's and my other Kimber. |

1911s are picky like most women. I have TRP Operator and a TRP Stainless. Neither will lock back on my wilson mags, but work perfect with my Chip McCormick 10 rounders and 8 rounders. And my Kimber series 1 1911s love the Wilson mags and McCormick mags.
Weird. But I have learned everything with 1911s are pretty much trial and error. Enjoy the TRP, I know I do. It is my most shot pistol. Chris |

My TRP Operator runs fine on CMC Power 10s. I carry Wilson ETMs on duty for belt carry. I have three CMCs on my vest(in a non-descript pouch so it doesn't look to militarized) |

Contact CMC for an LE price list - their 8-round Power Mags in stainless and blackened stainless are priced very nicely.
Also, if you've got your "Loaded" coupon SA's standard 7-rounders with Metalform rubber bumper pads from Brownell's are pretty slick for what you'll have into them. Both versions of the CMC and the Loaded coupon SA's with above bumpers run perfectly in my MC Operator FWIW. |

I'm running a Combination of CMC and WC ETMs in my S/A "Long Beach", and both run like a champ. I use the OEM Springfield Mags as range mags. They run fine, but don't always drop-free. |

Huh, that's puzzling, mine squirt out like they're lubed. I guess a case of YMMV. |
