I have a Kimber stainless 2 and .22 conversion.  The conversion has failures to extract with many types and lots of ammo.  I mostly have Federal Auto Match and bulk.  These have failure to extract on almost every round, but almost all other ammo does this as well.  The exception is Remington Thunderbolt, which performs almost flawlessly.

The Kimber conversion is suppressed with a Spectre II,  but that is not the problem as the failures to extract still happen with or without the suppressor attached.

The chamber/barrel is constantly cleaned (every 10-20 rounds) in an effort to ensure that a dirty chamber is not the culprit.  The ammo is used in other semi-auto .22's with no problem (10/22, Cineir AR Conversion).

Any ideas as to curing the failure to extract problem?  Other than just shooting only the Remingtion anmo.

Strange the Remington thunderbolts work ( they have a well deserved reputation for horrible performance)
I would try non bulk ammo if you can find it. Bulk ammo is the bottom of the barrel in regards to quality control and performance.
Cci blazer or mini mags would be my choices. Would not hurt to try it with some standard velocity as well.
How many mags do you have? If you have only the single mag that came with it, buying another mag is a good idea also.

How does it fail to extract?  Does the empty case stovepipe, or does the extractor slip off the rim and leave it in the chamber?

I only have the one mag, but the problem occurs even if the rounds are single loaded/mag removed during firing.

As to the type of extraction failure, there is a split between the case not being pulled out all the way (60%) and the extractor slipping off the rim (40%).

I have std. Velocity ammo as well (Win T22, CCI), but those also, and expectedly, do not work the slide.

If it failed with everything, I could attribute that to something such as bad extractor/extractor spring (which it may still be. . .), but it's success with the thunderbolts make me wonder if it's something else.

Some folks on Rimfire Central advised to polish the chamber (fired brass does not come out easily even when pulled out with finger/fingernail).  Failing that, changing springs.  Hopefully the polishing will be enough. . .
