I'm getting light primer strikes with my LW Champion Operator and WWB ammo, both JHP and FMJ. All other ammo has been ok. It's been bobtailed, and I've ran the factory Ed Brown mainspring, and Wolff 23 lb mainspring. Ed Brown advised that I look at the firing pin and spring. Can someone point me in the direction of a compatible firing pin and spring to try? |

Ed Brown Firing pin and Wolff spring. I think it is a 9MM firing pin but you should be able to mike the business end of the pin to know for sure. How would I tell? What dimension am I looking for, and where do I measure? you measure the tip of the fp. EGW sells a pin just for SA guns as iirc they are not really 9mm/38 Super or 45 acp. Check the Fp channel for burrs/debris/etc. |

All you really need is a Colt or Wolff standard power (not extra) firing pin spring. That will work best with the titanium pin.
If you want a steel pin, I recommend the EGW or Ed Brown .075". The tip may need to be turned down to fit. Chuck it in a hand drill and run some emery cloth on it. Springfield's pins are.070". 9mm/38 is .068". Springfield slides usually fit best with a .073"-.075" pin. |

I have one of these laying around.
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/234382/colt-firing-pin-spring-1911-factory-power Is that what I need? It looks shorter than what is in there. I'll post a pic in a minute. ETA: Factory is the longer one.
