Well I finally got me a smith 1911sc that I could afford. LGS owner gave me a good deal for my HK usp45 compact on a used sw1911sc.
The gun is like new condition except for the idiot scratch the previous owner caused. Very few rounds through the gun. The only thing is the previous owner put in a short trigger and changed out the ambi safety for a regular extended safety. No biggy. the trigger pull is sure and breaks with no creep or over travel. A good gun over all, but..... Who supplies Smith's triggers and ambi thumb safeties for their 1911's? I know I can install after market items and I may install Wilson combat parts. Then again I may just keep it the way I got it depending on how it shoots. dang this 1911 disease. 3rd one to follow me home in the last 4 months.
