I've got two very old Wilson 47D mags. I guess the feed lips have spread over time. They feed great. But fail to drop free.

I just used a vice to get them back together to where they now drop free. Seem to hand cycle fine.

Chances I just ruined the mags?

You should be able to tweak them a bit like that. After all, people pay for tuned mags and they are doing a similar thing. I have tweaked new and old and never had an issue.

You can do that until they crack.  They spread out faster and faster every time.

They're dying.

Send them to Wilson, they will fix/replace them.

Ill probably do that if they give me a problem.

I wonder if they would exchange them for straight 47 mags. ALl my other mags are 7 rounders now so

This! Before I clicked on this post I said to myself, "Wilson 47D magazines." I have three that I can't wait until they simply wear out and throw in the fucking trash bin. Between the weak ass factory springs, shitty toilet tissue paper thin followers, and mis-formed feed lips... fuck Wilson 47D's... YMMV, but my experience with them has been dismal. Tripp Cobra's for me from now on...
