I haven't seen any of the late model Gold Cups come with two springs. Regardless, they should run just about any 45ACP ammo. Quoted:

It likely came with 2 recoil springs...one for wadcutters / light loads and the other for everything else. Regardless, they should run just about any 45ACP ammo. They run fine until your rear sight flies off because the slide gets hammered and breaks the rear sight roll pin..... Make sure if your shooting 230 grain you have the heavier recoil spring. |

| Most factory ammo today will work with 18 1/2 lbs. springs. when shooting check to make sure your brass is ejecting and landing at 3 O' clock. Most 45's come with 16 1/2 lbs. springs. That springs is for 820 fps ammo. 45 ammo has just been better hotter and hotter some out there (forgot which) is 960 fps. If you are using a spring that is not heavy enough it is battering you frame to much. Skip the shock-buffs get the proper spring. |
