Possibility of picking one up.
Have yet to look at it in person - but it is an "N" prefix. I know the NM prefix guns are preferred but would this be a reason to pass on this pistol? |

Regardless of the firearm being an "N", or "NM" it still must pass through Geneseo. The NM guns might be fitted a bit better, but I would not avoid an "N" model simply because it's an "N". SA has standards regardless of where the gun is fitted together. The NM usually has a stainless barrel bushing in the parkerized Mil-Spec and Loaded flavors. I believe they also use different barrels. If both were side by side, same price, I'd take the NM. However, I would not let the N serial number be a determining factor if it was the only model available and the price was right. I shoot better with my S.A. GI model than with my Cold Gold Cup. |

If you like it then it should be a great pistol. I had a "N" prefix Mil-Spec that was solid that my brother now owns. My "NM" Loaded is a little more refined and came with a match barrel and bushing, and a 4.5-5lb trigger, another "N" prefix Loaded I had did not have any of these. But for the right price and in good shape why not??? |

I have an "N" Loaded and so far it has been 100% reliable with all ammo but 200gr Gold dots. It also very accurate.
Don't know why it does not like the 200gr Gold Dots since it eats the 230gr GD with out issue. It has been 100% with all other ammo I have tried in it so far. 185, 200 and 230gr from all other makers has been good to go in it. It even eats the cheap ass 200gr cast lead rounds our clubs indoor range sells with no problems. |
