Has anyone used one of these?

Magwell

The only other one I have ever used is the S&A magwell. The S&A is great but I want to put one on my new SA Operator and I like the fact that I can remove the funnel If I want or need to.

Any thoughts.

Both are fine, both will require blending and refinishing to fit properly.

If you have to go to that effort you might just be better off doing a weld on funnel.

Not really.

I usually buy an EB magwell and blend it when it's time to refinish one of my guns then 'kote it in the old oven in my back yard.

Two birds, one stone.

I've always used the weld on funnels mostly because I don't like the extra length of the bolt ons.  It is a lot of extra work.

I just put an Ed Brown magwell on my Kimber TLE/RL II. Fit like it was made for the gun. No issues.

+1, same gun. Many years ago, did have a problem with a Kimber Pro Carry Raptor though, had to file something down and fit it better. The hammer was activating by pressing the trigger hard, without the grip safety.
