| Can anyone tell me about the Sig Sauer Max 1911? I like the looks of it, and I've been looking for a semi-custom 1911 target gun - is this on par with the offerings in the high $1500-2000 range? I was thinking about trying an Ithica as well, but they are a little more dough and don't have the flash. Sig has me confused though - they have 100 different 1911s, and they're ALL pretty much in the same price range, give or take a hundred or two - so they can't be all that different. I've been considering a Sig STX too, just 'cause it's so pretty. |

Dan Wesson Valor or Springfield Armory TRP Don't spend $1500 on a SIG 1911. This I am biased because I ran the absolute piss out of a TRP and it just took it without failure. I am sure the Valor would be great too Heres an older thread from where I broke my TRP and yet it kept chugging along. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_49/138316__ARCHIVED_THREAD____Broke_my_1911_at_a_pistol_class_this_weekend.html&page=1 |
