Define 'regular style' grip safety.

Also, what style hammer are you using?

You could always find a beaver tail gs close to what you want and then carve it into what you want.

by regular i mean on an as issued government model.

the hammer is the spur type which is not compatible with an extended beaver tail.

just me, but i prefer the stock configuration but really like the memory bump feature.

I have been thinking the same thing- I don't get hammer bite so a beaver tail is not a need but having a little extra pad on the bottom would be nice - I guess you could have someone weld a little extra to the bottom of a regular gs and go that way

Welding is one way to go, but by the time you build up and then shape/blend the bump to where it looks good, I'd think you'd be better off starting with a beavertail and milling or grinding it to the shape you want.

Not sure I'd go to the trouble, but I've always said the wonderful thing about 1911s is they can be customized however you want!

If you figure this out, OP, I hope you'll post photos!
