Not my first 1911 by a long shot, but I do have that same gun but in stainless. I replaced the two piece guide rod first thing. Enjoy. Planning same thing......WC guid rod and 10-8 plug. Sounds good. My loaded came with the 2 piece and I switched it out for Wilson parts. |

LOL OP. Small world. I just bought the exact same gun, the exact same place, last week. Still haven't had a chance to shoot it yet though ;) |

LOL OP. Small world. I just bought the exact same gun, the exact same place, last week. Still haven't had a chance to shoot it yet though ;) Purchased mine on 1/21. If I remember correctly, I seem to remember the gentleman who grabbed mine from the back saying that it was the last black one back there. So I think they were probably telling the truth. I was really on the fence between the Dan Wesson Valor they had and the TRP. The fact that the DW was just a bit too far out of my price range and that they only had it in Stainless at the time, made me pick the TRP. I just got to shoot mine last night, took it up to Article ii after work with my wife. Thats probably the nicest handgun I own now and probably the nicest I've had the opportunity to shoot. I'm not a very good shot and that thing actually makes me look almost decent I only had time to put about 50 rounds through it, but so far so good.
