No.  The Powermags are good.  The 8 round Shooting Stars suck.  Pass.

It depends on the gun. The work perfect in my Kimber.

I shoot nothing but CMC mags in my 1911s. Never had a hiccup. Ever.

Best mags for the $$$, IMO.

There is hardly a difference between the two. I run both and have found they are very reliable. I have found poorly built guns will not work well with CM followers. Wilson mags seem to fix these guns.

Who's got 'em in or around Nashville for a good price? I think I'm going to hang on to my S&W 1911TA for a little while, and it only came with two factory mags(which work great).

Might try Academy, I don't recall if they sell them or not? I've bought mine on-line for around $15-17ea from several folks.

I know YOU never go, but you might also try looking at gun shows.................

$40/ea for Wilson's or $35/ea for CMCs is robbery at the fun shows, Bob.

What problem did you have with the Shooting Star mags ? I have had Shooting Star mags for 15 years.

Shooting Star magazines work fine in my Sig unless I pair them with PMC ammo.  Don't know why.  PMC shoots fine with the factory mags, and the Shooting Stars have never failed with any other brand of ammo.

I run the 8 round Shooting Star mags in my Springers, must have about 25 of them in stainless with the bump pad, never had any problems with them............

Same here.

I see nothing wrong with SS's, Springfield Factory Mags, Wilson 47D's, and CM Powermags.
