Looking for a High Visable Fiber Optic front sight for my Springfield Mil Spec 1911.
I can only find one brand, Hi Viz.
How hard is it to install and why do I need to spend $80 on a staking tool!?!?
Any cheaper way to install?

You coud always have the front sight milled.

For a current production non collector grade gun the right answer is to get a dovetail milled in the slide. Staked front sights suck. I have lost front sights several times when staking has broke loose.
