| Lgs has slightly used trp 1911 with the rail but not the full rail. Is it worth 1250.00? How do these run? |

TRP Operators (half rail - adjustable rear sight) run about $1450.00.
If it is in like new condition, you'll save a couple of hundred dollars - if it shows wear??? Only you can decide what it's worth to you. I have the standard TRP - it's a great gun, and has quickly become my favorite carry 1911. Good shooting, Bob S. |

I have a TRP without the rail... has run 100% and is very accurate.
It's at my gunsmith right now getting the ambi-safety replaced with an Ed Brown extended (one side) that he melts down to a mid-size and disabling the key lock in the mainspring housing. No help on price because mine was a gift but as for the gun.... its one of the few 1911s I own that hasn't had or needed a reliability job before I'd carry it. Stick to Wilson or Tripp mags in it. |

1250 is not high, he is talking about a TRP Operator. New should be around $1500-1550. $1250 is fair Try $1400-1449 online. For a used one, depending on condition, $1250 would be a decent deal but IMO not an absolutely outstanding, must buy now deal especially with having to pay tax at the LGS. |

My new trp operator was 1500 out the door a year ago. They also had a used one w/ ~1000 rounds and it was 1300.. i think 1250 is fair. I rarely see them for less than $1100 used (railed). The MSRP is something like 1800 per the website, of course no one goes by MSRP anyway but that should give you an idea.
I say go for it. How about the finish wear? Is it beat up and all? Mines a night stand gun so the finish is basically brand new still. 1900 flawless rounds so far with ANY ammo, i couldn't say that about my now sold XD 45 and XDM 40.. |
