Word is that Armscor/RIA have ditched the billboard rollmark for a small, dime sized one behind the rear slide serrations.  Got this info from both the M1911 Forums and the 1911 Forums.

Pic didn't show for me over there, but it does here.

Looks a lot nicer with the small rollmark like that.

It does look nicer. Mine has the billboard, but after a year with it, carrying it everyday, you can barely see it. You have to turn it at an angle and look at it in the light to see it.

I'm looking to do something with mine, either cerakote of some color, by one of our guys here,  Blue Panda Arms, or something really ridiculous like the copperhead pattern that one of our other members did on his AR15.

I have less than $400 in it, two boxes of ammo and an extra mag from my dealer last year, new.

I'd like to have one of their tactical models though, so it will be nice not to have that huge logo.

If only STI would follow suit.

STI is working on it.  Their new rollmarks are considerably less obnoxious.

Now if we could only get them to ditch that useless chainlink bullshit on the frontstraps....

I like it a lot. Now I really want to add one to the collection.
