| Can yall give me your experiences with these and how well made they are. What mods are common because of their short coming. I am looking at one because of the price. I just want a 1911 that I can beat to hell and not care. I already have a colt commander that was grand dads sidearm as a general so I already have a nicer one. How reliable and accurate are these citadels? |

Finslayer and a few others have Citadels. Made by Armscor, and a little higher quality than RIA. I'm considering one myself, to add to the collection. Mine has been a great pistol. Reliable and accurate with both 230 grain ball and various JHP's. I replaced the ambi safety as I don't like them on carry guns and put on a Wilson extended safety. Had it duracoated black, no real reason other than it cost me some spare ammo I had lying around, figured why not.

i just picked mine up yesterday. fired a box of steel cased tula(all i could find locally, please dont crucify me ) through it, took it home and cleaned it. the gun is amazing IMO out of the box. great trigger, very smooth slide with no side to side play, polished feed ramp. all in all its a great gun for what i paid and i cant wait to run some more boxes of ammo through it as soon as i can find quality ammo locally.
