First off price check on a reasonably clean one stainless steel brite nite sights?
Which main spring housing has a bolt hole for the factory mag well? If I was to have a stainless steel trp refinished what coating does best with SS? Cerecoat, reccomend something??? I just got one in a swap deal and figure I lost a little but it's a nice pistol so oh well... |
| the armory coat trps were running 1350 and stainless were right at 1200 last I saw one. not sure about the mag well because it should have one on it. as for the finish your best bet is to leave it as is or you would just be putting more money into it but if you want send it to springfield custom shop for the work. |

I had wanted a blue TRP and ended up trading for a stainless. Before I picked it up I had planned on having it coated. Once I got it I decided to keep it as is.
Thee finish isn't a shiny stainless. It's more like a dull slightly matte finish. You will like it. I like mine. The only mods on mine were made by the original owner. He replaced the 2 piece FLFR with a GI from Wilson Combat. He also replaced the MSH with a WC to avoid the lock. Correction= mine still has the original MSH. It has a WC flat recoil spring. |
