Is the frame steel or alloy? I thought it was an alloy but just read otherwise online. Can someone clarify for me? Sigs web page did not say.

I thought all Sig frames were stainless steel.  Mine is.

My distributor listed them as alloy, but mine is stainless steel.

My Tac Ops is alloy, but I'm not sure about the Scorpion.

It could be a stainless alloy which might lead to the confusion. Most people think that alloy means aluminum, but it really just means a combination of metal material.

I'm thinking this. I am pretty sure mine is steel.

Mine heavy as all heck, so I think mine is steel.
