This pistol is nearly immaculate. 600 bucks  Very happy to have my first Colt. I have 3 other 1911s, but just something about a Colt. Cant wait to shoot it a bit

SWEET! I love my Colt! Mine did need to have the extractor tuned and they're customer service was top notch through out the process. Now she runs like a champ.

Nice, Old Colts have a certain draw that newer guns lack.

Nice pistol and good price--congrats.
She looks real good.  If it's as clean inside as outside, you did good!

Gotta love the plain old A1 design--a true classic.

Much hatred and envy here. With my last breathe, I spit at thee!!!
Yeah, that is a great score. I hope that you enjoy that fine shooter for life and get sand in your shoes every time you shoot it.

Thanks guys im pretty excited. Me and my old man split the cost of this and a brand new unfired P220 W. German for 500 bucks. Not as good of a deal as the Colt but 500 new in box aint too shabby

Love the Colts.

Makes me think of "Way of The Gun."
Loved that movie.

Thanks for all the compliments folks, its a great pistol and me and my old man took it to the range and shot 50 rds yesterday.  I had disassembled already and lubed up but the recoil spring was shot so we had a few FTF.  has a new one now and it feeds rounds just fine so I guess that was the only problem.  I have to say those little sights are a pain in the ass! but it will stay exactly like it is now forever, its just a range gun and will now be an heirloom to pass down.
One possible issue is when I shake the frame (disassembled, just the frame) there is a rattling inside.  I held the grip safety in thinking that was it but it still rattles so something is loose inside that didnt effect the fire control group in terms of not firing.  Is this something with my mainspring? Sear? I wasnt planning on totally tearing this gun down

The older Colts were made to looser tolerances and the rattle is normal. (they were made that way so as not to jam up when dirty in combat).

nah man, re-read what I said.  When disassembled the frame has a rattle inside.  The gun itself has a slide-to-frame fit as tight as TRPs and a Wilson iv shot and handled

Hold the trigger to the rear and see if the rattle goes away.
