Just saw Brownells has their own 1911 mags. What are your opinions IF you have been using them for a while? Based on the question and emphasis on "IF you have been using them for a while", don't think you will get many responses. They haven't been out long enough to be tested well. I have Brownell's AR mags and they are good specs and quality. If they used the same practice of research and good specs on these as they did on the AR mags, I think they will be fine. I will probably order some. I notice the 7 rd mags are sold out. NY residents buying a bunch of them? |

Brownell's sets the standard in customer service and quality. I like the looks of them. I'd carry them on duty tonight. I'll be ordering some after tax season.

| They look interesting, but I don't think they are McCormick mags. The Brownells mags have a formed steel follower that is a lot different from McCormick's. If they are built to the same standards as their AR mags, they will be very high quality. I'll be ordering some soon. |

Quoted: The one great thing about Brownells is that they stand behind their products. And they're quite responsive to customer reviews/critique. I used to think that I was paying a premium to shop at Brownell's. A premium that I was happy to pay. But it isn't a premium. You are paying the fair price for what you get and what you get is quality products and excellent customer service. |
| Got two of the 8-rounders to try out. They appear to be stout, and the follower is the rounded type used by Metalform. They have some vertical play when locked in, but fed and functioned great in the one and only range trip. I'll keep trying them out in my multitude of 1911s. They certainly are at an attractive price point. |
