I’m looking to get a Springfield EMP as my primary CCW. I have not had a chance to shoot one and its very expensive.
I’m a huge 1911 fan and skilled with the weapon (Springfield Trophy Match), but its too big to conceal. I picked up a little Kimber Ultra Carry but ended up selling it at a loss; didn't like it at all. The light weight and small size that made it easy to carry also added too much recoil making it difficult to get a quick follow-up shot it also had some failures to extract. I thought a 9mm may be a better fit. So I was thinking the EMP may be the way to go but in searching I read a lot of reports of FTE issues; including people here back in 2010. Anyone know if this issue been addressed by Springfield? |
