| Anyone own a Citadel? The good, the bad and the ugly? Got a NIB Glock 22 that a guy offered me a Citadel on just testing the water to see if I can expect a good piece or POS. |
| I picked one up last month. Right out of the box it wouldn't chamber a round, FMJ or HP, out of the mags. I cleaned and lubed it and it would feed FMJ reliably but choked on HP. I called their CS and they sent me a label. Two weeks after shipping it off I got it back and it has been flawless. They had to cut a whole new feed ramp. I like it a lot now that it's running like it should. |

Not so much worried about price difference. More so trading a reliable well known glock for a "lower end" 1911 that may or may not be a stinker. My google-fo says an Armscor product with matching reviews to that of other Armscor products. Actual gun in question.... http://i1048.photobucket.com/albums/s364/joshglock/6779F49A-D960-4F2F-A3BA-4FD9F0B4463C-2032-0000024EB5169CB5.jpg http://i1048.photobucket.com/albums/s364/joshglock/8D9AD043-F1F9-4D7C-ACA3-77862F9A5838-2032-0000024EAE5FE9C0.jpg I've got that exact model. Excellent gun. I've got 500 rds through it trouble free. Accurate, good shooter. I've been extremely pleased with it. |
| I've had one for a few years now. Its my "throw around pistol". I carry it when I hunt, camp, fish.... pretty much all the time. Its been in rain, mud, snow, 100 degree + temps. Its been dropped, stepped on, submerged in creeks amoung other situations. It has performed perfectly, even full of water (I shook it out of course). It has around 7,000+ rounds down range, if I had to guess. I wouldnt trade it for anything at the price I payed for it. Its ugly as hell but it will go boom everytime I pull the trigger. I have a few that I payed way to much for and are "higher end", but its old ugly thats on my hip or under my shoulder when I head out for a weekend. |
