I couldn't decide which grips I wanted for my Special Forces Carry so in true ar15.com fashion, I got both.  As you can see, there are 2 dramatically different looks but I love them both.  I can't decide which grips to leave on the gun.  I guess the only solution is to get another Ed Brown bobtail

Beautiful!  Keep the dark grips on the stainless and save the wood grips for the black GENIII 5" bobtailed EE that you need to order today.

Ironically, if I order another Ed Brown today, it will probably arrive about the same time as the Milt Sparks VM-2 I ordered for this SF Carry.

I think the Sparks lead time is shrinking?  I saw where they are taking orders all the time, instead of just a few days a month.

I ordered one on Tuesday and was told it was approximately a 5 month wait.  I ordered one forever ago for my Springfield Micro Compact that just came in this week and it's well worth the wait, however long it takes.

Good choice!  I picked up a stainless Kobra Carry last week and am leaning towards the VZ 320s in carbon fiber.  Fortunately, I ordered a VM-II from Sparks about a year ago and had been sitting on it for about six months before I bought the gun

I love the look of those wood grips on that stainless Kobra Carry.

Thanks.  It's actually a Special Forces Carry, but I appreciate the compliment.  The wood grips are from Sarge's Grips.  They're burmese rosewood that I had him refinish to a lower shine.  I thought it would look better with the somewhat matte finish of the stainless gun, and I think it does.  For now though, the gun is wearing the original grips because in my infinite wisdom, I forgot to order slim bushings.

I think I need at least one Ed Brown 1911.
Unlike my shooting friends,  I go for aesthetics, as well as accuracy.
The unique design features of these guns are the nicest I've seen.
I bought a Kimber 1911 because all I heard was Kimber Kimber Kimber.
They should of been saying Ed Brown Ed Brown Ed Brown.

I'm not a fan of the  "Bobtail", but it looks nice.
