Can I take out the Firing Pin Plunger out and Firing Pin Plunger Spring and shoot it safely?

I'm having a problem with the Pin Plunger not moving up when I pull the trigger.

Yes.  But for best results, you should remove the frame levers as well and replace them with a shim that will fill the blank slot.

Alternatively, cutting the arm off the top lever will accomplish the same thing.   You don't want the frame arm to hang up in the hole in the slide.

Thanks I add more about what is going on with the gun.

+1

Get the shim from Brownells. It makes taking the gun apart sooo much easier and it's only ~5 bux .

Series 80 is very reliable. I would suggest figuring out why it is not working. You can shim it and many do, but I have found it not to ever give any trouble.

I'm thinking I just going to get the Shim. And be done with it.  Took it to a gunsmith and he was confused by why it wasn't working.

The frame levers may not be assembled correctly.   It's possible to orient them in a manner which doesn't allow the upper lever to lift when the trigger's pulled.

+1.

Also you still need to pull the parts from the slide when you install the shim in the frame.

I'm going to go back and look into it.  I just don't want to pay someone $60/an hour to maybe fix this gun.  I also love working on guns so I want to fix this my self unless it is ay over my head.
