What's the approximate value for a Colt polished nickel series 70 1911?

In my neck of the woods I've seen prices from $800-1100
To me a non buba tune all stock factory gun series 70 with no wear and tear shows good I would not be past paying $800 for it but it would have to be nice.

Wide spread on current blue book[ you know the one] from $850 for a 95% to $1250 for 100% Mod 70 polished nickel.
Your guess is as good as mine for real world pricing though I'd require exceptional quality condition for any purchase of this model.

Have you checked any complete gunbroker/auction arms auctions for similar pistols?
Subtract maybe 5% for local sale
