Anyone know a good 1911 Smith in the Mid West that will remove the series 80 crap from my Colt 1991A1 and won't make me wait 9 months to do it ? Thanks

Brownell's part No. 876-011-780WB.

The part is easy to install if you can detail strip your 1911.

If I can do it, anybody can.

Try Ned Christianson at Michiguns he is the metal master.  I do not know what his backlog is through and he's in Michigan.

No.  I'm told you can simply drop in a Series 70 firing pin and leave all the Swartz parts in place.   Never tried it myself, though –– I'm a glutton for punishment.

The schwartz system is different. When I put a Kimber slide on my Sistema. I just removed the parts and installed a series 70 firing pin.
