I have always noticed that there is a number roughly milled into the under side of the slide on my Desert Warrior.
Anyone know what it means??

It might be for keeping the slide and frame paired and mated while they do the finishing and other work on the separate parts. Look to see if theres a rough number on the frame or if it matches the last few numbers of the frame serial.

My Clackamas Kimber Classic has the serial number scribed on the slide, FWIW.
