I just picked up a TRP Operator and was looking at this guide rod:

My question is, what recoil spring would I need to get for this? Which will work with it?

i would think your current spring would be fine. you do have a reverse plug setup currently, correct?

Same recoil spring you are using for your load.

Correct. So the current spring will work then? What recoil spring would I look at getting when it comes time to replace it?

16 LB. for a 5" gun.
Wolff or ISMI.

When I spoke with Springfield I was told that their stock recoil spring is 18 lbs.

I just ordered one of those yesterday, got an email today they are out of stock for 2 to 3 weeks.
