from like 04-07 or so (someone clarify), they had the external, "tactical" extractors which imo were POS; before and after, they went back to internal, traditional 1911 extractors...imo, after 04, kimbers took a shit anyways w/ a lot of thier stuff
the externals tended to have lots of problems (compared to comparable numbers of internal ones)...iirc, it was due to tension (extension of the extractor arm, spring, claw, etc) and so forth if anything, get one w/ an internal extractor––it can be tuned |
