Started as a base Mil-spec and had the following work done after about 4 years of ownership.

Match barrel/bushing
Slide to frame fit
Carry bevel
Night sights
Checkered front strap 30lpi and flat checkered non ILS MSH
Extended single side safety
Beaver tail grip
Tool steel trigger job set at 4.5lbs
Polish feed ramp/deburr pistol internally
Wilson trigger/Bullet Proof slide stop and extractor
Flat black Armory Cote
VZ grips and hex screws

It took 500 rounds to break it in as the slide was TIGHT. It's incredibly accurate!

They have my MC Operator now for a few of the same things. The work cost a small fortune that I would never get back, unlike a Ed brown or Wilson. So I'm stuck with it now.

Do you mind sharing how much the upgrades cost? I have a GI model that I was looking at doing the same too. You posted in my thread about railed 1911's. I'm between doing this or getting a mc operator.

Yes, but it will hurt to see

Match barrel bushing 290.00
Frame fit 190.00
Carry bevel 100.00
novak night sights 260.00 (had to cut the slide)
Checkered front strap 150.00
Mainspring at 30 lpi 75.00
Extended safety 80.00
beaver tail 100.00
Action job with tool steel hammer, sear and disconnector 225.00
The polishing they threw in for free (It was on the receipt that they did it)
Wilson parts 100.00
Armory coat 150.00

They shipped it for free both ways. This was actually done over two trips back. I offered to just drive it there myself so they gave me shipping labels.

The VZ grips were 65.00 I called them to have them beveled on the bottom and they shipped them at no cost.

Total. 1785.00
I paid 575.00 OTD for the gun NIB a few years ago so my total is 2360.00 into it. Ouch!
She is pretty sweet though.

Also if you had a GI you might want the lowered ejection port and beveled magazine well, which would run 90 and fifty accordingly. I sold a Sig 220 to help pay for this and worked a bunch of overtime last summer. I wanted to have a top line railed and non railed 1911.

Wow!! Thats outta my range, at least till I graduate from college. I'll have to keep my search going for a mc operator. I like what you had done to it, you may have have as much into it as a Wilson or nighthawk but it's your own custom build. It's nice

Springfield Custom Shop does top notch work.  You'll be quite happy with that for a long time.
