I am first time poster on the 1911 forum, so I wanted to drop in with some pictures for my first post.  Today was the first time I have ever shot a 1911 and my expectations were surpassed.  I recently purchased a used Kimber Warrior from Gander Mountain for $700.  I got a chance to go to the range today and I instantly fell in love with this gun.  

I am not very experienced when it comes to handguns, but I was happy with the guns performance.  I shot rounds that I reloaded (200Gr RNFP over 5.2gr Titegroup) and it ate everything like a champ.  I am now hooked on the 1911 and I can't wait for my next range trip.

Nice shooting.

I shoot a 1911 more accurately than any other type of conventional handgun.

("Conventional handgun" defined as - not a high end specialty target pistol).

It was the first handgun I ever shot, in the Army at the time.

I have shot many since then, but it remains my favorite.

Distance was only 10 yards. Shots were fired at a semi rapid rate. I have some practicing to do

+1. Same here. I'm trying not to dump all my other pistols for 1911s for a variety of reasons but I've got more 1911s than anything else.
