So you're the one that got the last one... Could someone answer this, something I notice on all RIA and some other guns such as the SA Mil - spec. If the barrel is a standard interchangable Gov. bbl. and the slide is an interchangable 5" slide, why does the barrel protrude slightly as shown in the fourth pic and not flush with the bushing like on others such as the SA GI or a Colt? Something has to be shorter/longer. |

Hey Panzer, let me know if you change out the sights on it and aren't gonna keep those.
I have the standard GI with the tiny sights. I'll have to get the slide cut but still, my eyes need something. Of course, if they keep selling then that cheap, I might be better off just selling my GI and getting one for those. |

It will probably be more cost effective to just buy one with the sights on it already. |

But this one I have now has been custom tuned by Arnell, and the slide and frame, barrel and fitted my EGW bushing etc has been custom fitted, and has a trigger job as well. The hole for the barrel in the slide was not concentric, and even though it ran like a top, it was shooting about 3 inches left at 15 yards with the sights all the way over. Arnell put a new slide on it, a higher end barrel, plus tuned the extractor, put in a new mag catch/release, and a ton of other things. All I asked for really was to send it back shooting straight, but they went way overboard. And I'm ok with that. lol Great CS. I hate to get rid of this one with all of that work and can't afford to go out and buy a second gun. |

I took it and my new Iver Johnson to the range today and expended a little over two hundred rounds between the two of them. Both cycled flawlessly and are plenty accurate if I do my part. I was making easy headshots at 15 yards with both of them. I can honestly say I have nothing negative to say about either pistol. Both performed well on their maiden voyage to the range. They are both excellent value for a low cost 1911. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v197/panzersergeant/Rock%20Island%20Arsenal%201911/024.jpg Nice pair ya got there... Using stock mags Panzer? |

Both pistols came with Mecgar 8 rounders. I also cycled a few USGI mags through them with no problems. |
