[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Grip frame checkering

I have a couple Kimber Stainless frames I may have the front of the grip checkered.

What would something like this cost and who should I look at to do the work?

(using halal grip tape now)

IIRC
$160 +/- for machine
$200 +/- for hand
as for where to go, I can't tell you as I never did it.

You could always do your own with the SS frame.

I paid $250 for mine to be done and refinished (Cerakote).

The frame was stainless when I sent it in and I asked to have it refinished in black.

Springfield Armory Custom Shop, Ive had them do both and they do as good a job as I think can be done. Outside of Pete Single, of course. Prices are good, all the flavors of LPI, machine cut, or hand. One of the quicker turnarounds too.
