Hello folks. I've got a full size 1911, and I'm hoping you can tell me what it might be worth. It has a Caspian frame made from titanium, and the "upper" was from a Kimber stainless. The slide is all that's still Kimber, the rest is Wilson Combat - trigger, hammer, other internals, etc.

If this isn't the right place to be asking, I apologize. Just trying to figure out what I've got.

Thanks.

I'd estimate that at about 800$ worth of gun, given how many unknowns are in it.

If some high end smith made it, maybe 1500$.

I'm the wrong person to respond, really. No fan of Kimber at all. It's a good looking pistol, looks quality.

Titanium receiver lists $428.00 fro Caspian. If selling I'd list at a grand at least and fish that for a while. If you just brought Kimber slide to shop and said build this on a titanium receiver. You'd easily spend a grand.

Thanks for the info so far guys. I wish I knew more about the gun - What I do know I listed in my original post, and from what I recall when I got it (in a trade many years ago) was that the internal work was done by a smith. Who, I don't know. It's sat in my safe for at least the last 5 years, and as  pretty as it is, I think I might want to use it to fund other projects, I just have no idea what I've really got in it.
