I swapped out the trigger for a harrison design trigger and the arched MSH for a Flat Ed Brown MSH. Really like this gun.

Do they not make the SS frames in Brazil? My parked milspec says it is made in Brazil, this SS one does not. Definitely a tighter fit on this one as well with no side-side play in the slide/frame.

Cannot wait to shoot it!

Here is a pic of my parked milspec.

Does the SS one have  a NM prefix serial number?

sneaky devils at SA have been known to mark the made in Brazil in obscure areas to hide the fact they are not made here- all SA major and some minor parts  start whole or in part in brazil, even if it doesn't say so.

Incoorect.  Some barels are 100% US made.
Frames and slides can be up to and including 100% made in Brazil.

Now lets define major and minor parts. Major parts, parts needed for weapon to function.
Minor parts, parts that can be omitted and still have 100% function pistol, ie grips.

Yup.

There you go.  NM prefix means Brazilian forging finished in US (& therefore not made in Brazil) - N prefix means brazilian forging finished in brazil.  Something like wherever 51% of the operations were made determines where it was made - something like that.

Sweet.

Thats how I set up my Mil Spec too. (long, solid trigger and flat checkered MSH)

Enjoy!

Good looking pistol. Are you satisfied with the sights? I just sent off my NM Mil-spec to get a few minor upgrades. I have a thing for checkered front straps I guess.

Looking forward to the range report. What does the other side look like?

As far as non-night sights go, they are great.

Got to shoot it today and it was flawless and very fun. I need to take it out again soon and do some more specific testing with it, today was just function test.

I fully intend on doing a range report on my blog www.minutemanreview.com
