There was a consignment blued Colt DE at a local gun store this weekend that was just begging for a new home, so I accommodated it. Excellent-minus condition (same scratch as on the Colt O1918 This will be nice sitting next to the stainless DE in the safe. Speaking of which...I'm running out of space. Also, looking at putting on these grips, with a DE medallion: With the exception of the scratch, it was a nice find and a cap to a great weekend.

Nice grips. Wouldn't you want some kind of contrast with the red delta emblem? Red on red grips might get kind of lost. On my stainless DE ('91 vintage), I cut the rubber joining the two factory grip halves back to where I have two stock-looking grip panels. Looks and feels a whole lot better. Of course I have another factory original grip should I wish to go back to stock. |

There was an aftermarket grip manufacturer that offered his products (darn nice looking woods, too) with the Delta logo already installed, but two HD crashes and a new computer later I have completely lost track of who it was! ETA: here's a thread of interest from another forum. ETA#2: FOUND IT!!!!!! GO HERE!!!! ETA#3: OMG!!! Check out Pic #3 across the top here!!!! |

I think I actually drooled a little!! Oh, and happy to be of help. After all I love my DE as well and this benefits the both of us! |

As soon as he gets some really dark cocobolos, I'm ordering them! Thanks again for the heads up. |

I take it back... The FLGR will have to go and I'll drop in a new recoil spring as well. Any suggestions on the recoil spring weight? 20-22# for all but the hottest loads. 24# if you really like to load 'em up warm. I have one of each of those weights and use them depending on what ammo I'm using at the time. |

Pics forthcoming.
