Hey guys. I want a good handgun for about $750-$800. I have been looking at the Beretta M9 and I like the way it feels, but I like my dads Kimber A LOT more. With that being said, are the remington r1's any good? I know remington is a great company so im sure their 1911 is top-notch but I feel like their should be a catch for it only being $700 something. Hows the recoil on the .45? I shoot my dads Kimber .45 acp and it feels like a .22 lol |

Or you could get the Ruger sr1911 or the R1. They are all good guns but I would chose those over a Beretta. |
| I like my Rem R1..excellent accuracy and reliability plus good trigger..but it was a little bit crude in some of the workmanship. I'm satisfied with mine...but you might search this forum for Remington R1 topics to read and see some of the issues common to these. |
