How good of quality is para? I'm thinking about getting my first 1911 but don't want to spend a fortune.

I owned 3 Paras in my younger days. If ARFCOM had been around then I wouldn't have made that mistake.

My first and only Para sucked. It would never fire more than 5 rounds before having a failure to eject or failure to feed, both mags failed and spewed live rounds all over the ground at the range, and the hammer cracked. Get a springfield or Kimber instead.

They are the worst "1911" I have ever owned. Their customer service was terrible too.
