Been thinking about getting an Ace Custom .45 super conversion done.  I am wondering what would I be giving up as a result of modifications to the weapon.  The Ace site says it will still work with regular .45ACP but wouldn't doubling the strength of the spring mess up timing with regular ammo?  What do you guys think/have experienced?

i believe the conversion is only a spring on a govt model.
i have the v16 from sa which used to be called the .45super, and it came w/two different power springs. it's also a six inch barrelled 1911 & ported(v16).
you will have to use 45super brass, available from starline.
i have a load from an old shotgun news(so it's a published load) but i've also seen the hogdon magazine loading guide give some info. i also have some info i got from gt; pm me if you'd like it.
