Edit: well I was having a problem with this ejecting so I sent it back to SA to see if they could fix it.
Today I get a call, and the nice lady on the phone tells me they can't repair it that they no longer have the parts and proceed to ask me if I would like a
new 45acp top end or a 9mm top end...stainless or parked and what type of sights. All at no charge
So I opted for the 45 stainless slide with Novak sights. Then the more I thought about it I think I'm going to order a 460 rowland kit for it from Clark.

Don't see those every day. Good collector item for sure. Does Springfield still stock parts?

Very nice OMEGA you got there! . I've owned two later models over the years, and shot one of them as much as I could afford and the other is a safe queen seemingly like new. I sold my shooter some time back, but kept my 6" longslide safe queen below.
I called S/A with my serial number and was told it (well both I had at the time) were from the last two batches manufactured and shipped, (note mine being parkerized which was not a std finish on Omegas) which meant it had the upgraded recoil guide rod, front sight, and a few other upgrades that plagued a few earlier models. (giude rod breakage was the major issue, along with loosing front sights) They also put in a factory match style trigger as well.
My advice is to check your guide for the updated bridge mod (from S/A), and have them date your pistol by the S/N. Otherwise shoot away and have fun.
Here's mine with some updated pics.. I really should shoot it or sell it.. Hate to see it just sit here.. It does eat an expensive diet however..
